I am a recently retired attorney who has been involved in genealogy for more than 30 years. I am a member of the National Genealogical Society and am currently taking courses offered by that Society. I also belong to the Kentucky Genealogical Society and the Kentucky Historical Society. I am originally from the eastern part of the state, where most of my ancestors have lived for over 200 years. My current home in Georgetown puts me within easy travel distance of research sources (and children and grandkids) in Frankfort, Lexington, and Louisville.
