Got a genealogical puzzle? I specialize in the ones that require deep archival research and careful evidence analysis — men who shared the same name, mistaken identities preserved in official records, women who vanished from the record when they married, migrations tracked across multiple states, and photographs identified without a name or inscription.
My U.S. genealogical research and writing appears in journals in the field, including the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, the Maryland Genealogical Society Journal, Connecticut Genealogy News, and genealogical journals in California, Tennessee, Illinois, Virginia, and the United Kingdom. I hold a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University and am a First Prize winner of the 2026 Montana Family History Writing Contest.
My two published books — Pryor Wives: Stories of Family, Fortune, and Fiasco (2023) and Board in Venice (2025) — take a narrative approach to genealogical research, recovering the lives of real people from the historical record.
