I am a professional genealogist specializing in African American family history, particularly in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. My work combines deep archival research with DNA analysis to reconstruct family lines, uncover hidden stories, and restore connections across generations.

With expertise in probate, land, census, and Freedmen’s Bureau records, I focus on solving complex genealogical problems and tracing families beyond the 1870 “brick wall.” I am committed to applying the Genealogical Proof Standard in every project and bring experience preparing formal case studies, research reports, and lineage narratives.

As founder of Roots of Return Genealogy, I also provide education and consultation through workshops, narrative reports, and legacy projects that highlight the resilience of African American families. My approach blends historical documentation, genetic evidence, and storytelling to honor ancestral legacies and empower present-day descendants.
