I am a professional Genealogist and House Historian, having studied a number of accredited university and other courses, following a background in teaching. I have been researching family history for over 25 years. My work includes researching traditional Family History as well as Genetic Genealogy. I have assisted in reuniting adoptees with birth parents using a combination of traditional genealogical research and DNA results. I branched into researching the history of houses and buildings 10 years ago and I work independently as a house historian and as part of a heritage architectural firm. Based in Australia, I regularly present on a range of family history topics and on house history research. My research extend beyond Australian family history to English, Scottish, Irish, Swiss, German and Norwegian research. I am a member of both the One Name Society and the One Place Society and have presented on both of these topics as well as a wide range of others many of which which can be found on my blog FamilyHistory4u. I am the author of a number of family history blogs and one House History blog.
