My passion for family history was sparked in 2014 when I started volunteering with FamilySearch. To fuel this newfound obsession, I pursued a degree in family history research at BYU-Idaho, graduating in 2018. After an inspiring internship with FamilySearch, I launched my freelance career in 2020 and later gained valuable experience working with Legacy Tree Genealogists in 2024.

I stay engaged in the field by continuing my education through Heritage Genealogical College, RootsTech, and SLIG. My research focuses on uncovering the stories of my ancestors from Maryland and Pennsylvania.

“The information provided for my project was very thorough. There was a detailed analysis of available records for this project that contained visuals and was organized in a way that was easy to understand. The research plan contained many good leads and was broken down into manageable steps that I am excited to pursue going forward. I would recommend this service to anyone.”
– Kerri S.

“I thought you did a great job on being very thorough and thanks for taking the time to do this for us. I might be having you do more in the future. Thanks again for your time it was spent well.”
– Katie S.

“I am very pleased with the Katie’s professional undertaking and accomplishments concerning this project and I would most certainly recommend her to anyone interested in employing her for genealogical research.”
