Kathie Ross, PhD, thoroughly enjoys transcribing old documents, especially those from the 17th and 18th centuries. She has experience in transcribing English, Old Scots and Basic Medieval Latin.  Kathie loves the challenge of matching the right family to the heraldic achievement.

Dr. Ross has completed the Post-Graduate Diploma of Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies through the University of Strathclyde.  Kathie is an experienced presenter and instructor with more than two decades of presenting to adults. Her most recent genealogical seminars have been on Irish genealogy, palaeography and heraldry.

Through her own family’s research Kathie has experience in several countries including Canada, USA, England, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Norway and Sweden.  She leads special interest groups in Irish, Scandinavian and Palaeography.
