Kaelyn Deeter holds the Certified Genealogist credential from the Board for Certification of Genealogists. She has been teaching at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy since 2024.

Drawing on broad experience across American records, she specializes in federal and territorial research, with a particular depth in Alaska’s territorial period. She serves on BCG's DNA Committee, reflecting her focus on integrating genetic and documentary evidence.
