I am a founder of Eneclann, a Trinity College Dublin, Campus Company (1996).
Eneclann is Ireland's most successful research agency. Our research work is a benchmark in family history.
In 2013 I gave a private presentation on their Irish roots to Michelle Obama and her daughters.
In June 2016 I presented then VP Biden with his Irish family history, and accompanied the extended Biden family around Ireland.
On a day to day, I work with our research team to provide research, context and supporting documents for the family history narratives explored in Finding Your Roots (PBS), Who Do You Think You Are.

Education - I teach a two year course in Irish Family & Social History, in Trinity College Dublin.
In 2020-23, I worked with the Dublin and Wicklow County libraries to present online courses on family history.
Historical consultancy for film, t.v. and the media. Projects include, for T.V. Penny Dreadful (Showtime); Reign (CBS). Films include Oscar nominated Albert Nobbs, (Director Rodrigo Garcia), and A Dangerous Fortune (Constantin Television).
Historical research. Clients include the Office of Public Works Ireland; the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI); Cork County Council; Dublin City Council.
