My interest in family research started with the discovery of a box of old family photos. With no idea who the people in the pictures might be, I wanted to find out more. An interest turned into a hobby and then a career.
My specialty is in Scottish research. As I’m based in Edinburgh, I have good access to the National Records of Scotland and the National Library of Scotland. Many other repositories such as those in Glasgow, are within easy reach.
I have an MSc in Genealogy, Palaeography and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde and I'm also a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists, where I volunteer on the communications team.
