Jarrett Ross began researching his own family history in 2009 while finishing his undergraduate degree. Since then he has successfully connected with thousands of relatives all over the World and has helped build hundreds of trees for people of varying ancestral backgrounds. Jarrett has acquired a multitude of expertise related to Jewish genealogy and Genetic Genealogy. These include the Portuguese Jewish Community of Amsterdam, the Jewish Agricultural Societies of Southern New Jersey, Jewish research in Ukraine, Genetic Genealogy for Endogamous Populations, Investigative Genetic Genealogy, and much more. Jarrett spent about 5 years working as the Lead Forensic Genealogist at DNA Labs International (DLI), helping generate leads for cold case violent crimes and unknown human remains. While at DLI, Jarrett became profficient in the new technology called Kintelligence which allows for testing smaller and more degraded DNA samples. Jarrett also runs the youtube channels GeneaVlogger and Professional Genealogist Reacts. Jarrett currently serves as a volunteer curator on Geni.com, the Vice President of the Triangle Jewish Genealogical Society, and a chair on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies.
