Geraldine Knatz
I began doing genealogy 30 years ago focused on German and Irish research. I gave frequent lectures at local genealogical societies and taught family history research as Los Angeles Harbor College. I did extensive research in German archives, much of which can be found on my website knatzfamily.com. After a long hiatus, I am now focusing on sharpening my skills and becoming active again in genealogical societies. I am the author of three nonfiction historical books including the award-winning book, Terminal Island, the Lost Communities of the Los Angeles Harbor. I am on the Board of the Los Angeles City Historical Society and the Immigrant Genealogical Library.
