Valerie Neidich Williams brings more than 30 years of genealogical research experience to her client work, with a focus on Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Connecticut. She works across the 17th through 20th centuries and is at home in church, civil, land, immigration, naturalization, and military records.
Much of her work supports lineage-society applications, including the Daughters of the American Revolution and the U.S. Daughters of 1812. She brings that same evidence-based rigor to client family histories and to house and local-history projects, documenting her findings to the Genealogical Proof Standard and citing her sources to Evidence Explained.
Beyond the paper trail, Valerie photographs and cleans headstones and records cemeteries — preserving the physical evidence of a family's past alongside the documents. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History (summa cum laude) and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of APG.
Her aim in every project is the same: to uncover the real stories of the people behind the names, and to preserve them for the generations who come next.
