🔍 Hands-On Genealogical Research

Records-based • Detail-driven • Focused on real connections

I’m a hands-on genealogist who loves digging into the details that bring family stories to life. My work is grounded in original, primary records—including vital records, census schedules, probate and guardianship files, church registers, photographs, and family papers.

I’ve successfully traced family lines from mid-1700s ancestral couples all the way down to living relatives today, often across multiple regions, generations, and record systems.

Special focus: Reuniting families with lost or forgotten heirlooms—such as original marriage certificates, family registers, and historic photo albums—by reconstructing descendant lines and locating living relatives.

📜 Research Experience Includes

  • Tracing descendants of 18th-century couples to present-day family members
  • Reconstructing families through probate, estate, and guardianship records
  • Analyzing census records with changing names, ages, and locations
  • Working with French- and English-language records side by side
  • Identifying individuals in historic photographs and documents
  • Research across New England, French-Canadian, Caribbean, and U.S. record sets

🌎 Professional Memberships & Research Access

I am a member of the American-Canadian Genealogical Society, with access to thousands of records from both private and public collections, including materials not widely available online.

I am also a member of the Barbados Genealogical Society and maintain strong personal connections on the island of Barbados, allowing for collaboration, local insight, and on-the-ground research support.

My research style is methodical, transparent, and respectful. I document sources carefully, explain conclusions clearly, and communicate progress throughout the project. Whether I’m breaking through a long-standing brick wall or helping preserve a family’s history for future generations, I approach every case with patience and care.
