Tracie Boyle is a professional genetic genealogist based in Northern New Jersey. Whether helping someone rebuild a family tree, identify biological relatives, or restore an unknown individual’s name, she knows that no two cases are alike. Her experience across hundreds of genealogy, genetic genealogy, and investigative genetic genealogy cases has taught her how to adjust her approach based on the question, the available information, and the person or family at the center of the research.

She began working in investigative genetic genealogy in 2018, during the field’s earliest years, and was among the first group of practitioners using it to help restore the identities of John and Jane Does, or unidentified human remains. In 2026, she became an accredited investigative genetic genealogist. In her full-time role at the Ramapo College Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center, she manages casework, works with law enforcement and forensic partners, and guides research teams through complex DNA results and family trees.

Through Boyle Genealogy, she offers genealogy and genetic genealogy research, consultations, and second opinions for individuals and families. She is also available for speaking engagements and media interviews on investigative genetic genealogy, unidentified human remains, and cold case investigations.
