I specialize in genealogical research involving Spanish colonial and early American families, with a focus on records from California missions, pueblos, and Indigenous communities. My background includes grant-supported research for the National Park Service and the Smithsonian Institution, as well as peer-reviewed publications in anthropology and history. I work with Catholic sacramental records, early civil documents, and underutilized archival sources to reconstruct family histories with care and historical integrity. I also have experience with Jewish and Eastern European ancestry, and welcome complex or cross-cultural research inquiries.
