Shannon Musfelt, Accredited Investigative Genetic Genealogist, has over fifteen years of genealogical research experience using both traditional and genetic genealogy. She has completed courses with Ramapo College, the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG), the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR), the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP), the Genealogical Institute on Federal Records (Gen-Fed), the Applied Genealogy Institute (AppGen), and Excelsior College. She has also completed the Boston University Certificate in Genealogical Research program, and the GenProof and ProGen Study Groups. Shannon can help solve any manner of family history mysteries.
Shannon is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and the Pinellas Genealogy Society (PGS). Shannon has held positions on the APG Board of Directors, APG Nominating Committee, the APG Writer's Special Interest Group (SIG) Programs Committee, and is currently serving on the Publications Advisory and Awards Committees for APG. Shannon also served as Assistant Communications Manager for SLIG and was coordinator for ProGen 66.
