I have more than 25 years of research experience, and have been a full-time professional genealogist since 2012.
I have worked on a wide variety of genealogical projects, including general family histories, slave research, unknown parentage, probate cases, and large population studies for genetic medical research. This experience offered me an unparalleled opportunity to increase the depth and breadth of my genealogical research skills, working along side my mentor, and dear friend, the late Johni Cerny.
After eight years as the Associate Genealogist, for the PBS television show, Finding Your Roots with Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., I became Lead Genealogist in February, 2020. I work with an amazing team of genealogists, historians, researchers and producers to create one of the most popular shows on Public Television.
