Megan is currently not accepting new clients for genealogical research services. She is taking clients for speaking engagements.
 
Megan I. Culbert is the founder and owner of Little Owl Genealogy. Her experience includes working as an associate curator at a museum, where she curated several exhibitions, and as a research assistant at a research library, where she conducted local history and genealogy research for patrons. She has also conducted freelance research and writing for a genealogical organization. Her volunteer experience has included curating exhibitions for a local historical society and judging students' history projects at New York History Day. 

After several years pursuing other career fields, Megan found her way to genealogy and realized that not only does she have a passion for conducting genealogical research and writing about her findings, but also a talent for it, along with a desire to help others learn more about their family history and therefore themselves. Her many years working in customer service have made her comfortable working with clients and ensuring an exceptional experience. Through Little Owl Genealogy, Megan will be able to combine her passion, talents, and educational and work experiences to help clients discover the stories of their ancestors and connect with the past.
 
Megan is a member and Registrar of her local chapter of The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and she recently applied for German citizenship by descent and is currently awaiting the conclusion of the application process. As such, Megan understands the requirements for lineage society applications and citizenship by descent applications (especially for Germany) and can empathize with applicants and provide them with high-quality research that will allow them to have successful applications.
