My name is Martyna Urbańczyk, and I am a genealogist based in Łódź, Poland, helping people around the world uncover their Polish family history and obtain records connected to their ancestors. Over the past three years, I have worked with more than 85 families from abroad, helping them trace their roots and locate historical documents. My professional experience is complemented by several years of researching my own family history.

My work focuses on researching families from present-day Poland and its former territories, whether records are preserved in state archives, civil registry offices, diocesan archives, parish collections, or other repositories. Because Polish records are often scattered among different institutions and many are not available online, identifying the right place to search is frequently as important as the research itself.

I regularly work with records created in Polish, German, Russian, and Latin, assisting clients at every stage of the process—from identifying an ancestral hometown to locating historical documents and reconstructing family connections across generations. I also specialize in obtaining documents required for Polish citizenship by descent applications and other legal purposes.

Having conducted research for international clients for several years, I understand the challenges faced by descendants of Polish emigrants seeking to reconnect with their family's origins. My goal is to make the often complex Polish research process accessible, efficient, and productive, even when only limited information is available.
