My name is Marina Martello, and my mission is to restore the lost identity of the ancestors scattered across the globe by the great Italian diaspora. I am a genealogist, academic author, and official delegate, but I prefer to define myself as a seeker of historical truth who transforms dusty archival records into a living and documented family history.
My work is centered in the heart of Northern Italy, across the lands of Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Friuli, and Lombardy. In these regions, I expertly navigate the complex Austro-Hungarian Catasto Tavolare systems and ancient parish registers to trace the origins of every lineage. However, my investigative skills are not limited by physical borders because, through a consolidated remote research methodology, I am able to reconstruct family trees in every corner of the Peninsula, from the Alpine peaks to the shores of Sicily.
In an era where amateur research often creates confusion, I offer the rigor of a scientific method to ensure that every branch of your family tree is authentic. I had the honor of contributing to the university textbook Turismo delle Radici and winning the National PNRR grant for Trentino-Alto Adige, but my true specialization is the critical auditing of data. I cleanse genealogies of omonymies and historical inaccuracies, correcting those errors that too often lead researchers astray. Every reconstruction results in an exhaustive professional report, often exceeding forty pages, where every name regains its date, its certified source, and its place in history.
A speaker at RootsTech 2025 and a collaborator with FamilySearch, I place my mastery of Ecclesiastical Latin and institutional archives at the service of descendants seeking excellence.
Do not allow your family history to remain a mystery or a list of uncertain names. Entrust me with the reconstruction of your family tree to rediscover your true Italian roots. Contact me today, and together we will begin giving a future to your family memory.

Marina's work was a turning point. After 3 years of searching with no success, she provided a 40-page report and located the document in Italy that I never would have found due to a surname variation. Her service is fast, transparent, and effective. I recommend her with 100% certainty." — Verified Client Review via LinkedIn
Marina is an extremely competent professional with immense knowledge in the field of genealogy. Beyond being an excellent instructor, she is an exceptional person—always available and patient.
