I am a professional genealogist with eighteen years of experience. My extensive experience includes:
o Building basic family trees for clients
o Creating trees from handwritten information or notes
o Organizing files for presentation to others or for the client’s own benefit
o Assist clients with the creation of family history books or reports for posterity
o Locate living heirs for real estate and other purposes
o Preparing professional research reports utilizing the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) complete with source citations and clearly laid out facts that are easy to understand and follow
o General genealogical research
o Transcription of historical documents, including abstracting and extracting
o DNA analysis – Successfully located previously unknown fathers for three different clients by analyzing their DNA results, building family trees, and working logically to connect the genealogical dots
I utilize all the basic genealogy online databases as well as state and local archive records.
Experience with French-Canadian, Jewish, early Colonial research, Northeastern, Southern United States all dating back to the 1700s.
Professional Affiliations:
• Association of Professional Genealogists
• National Genealogical Society
• The Alabama Genealogical Society
• Awaiting approval for certification as a professional genealogist having submitted my portfolio to the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG).
I always adhere to the highest standards of the genealogical profession before presenting any information to a client as factual. Documents are analyzed, tested, compared, and validated before including them in the work product presented to any client.
I have a passion for genealogy and research and love to utilize my skills to help clients solve mysteries and understand their ancestry better.
