Laurianne has been the secretary for the Alberta Genealogical Society (AGS) for one year and the
secretary for the Calgary Branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society for a couple of years.
In both positions, she performed her duties quickly and accurately. Her provincial duties for the
provincial society were taking minutes at executive and board meetings, distributing minutes for review
of the executive or board, and then posting. She completed the minutes very quickly and well done. She
also supported the executive and the board with good ideas to help the organization. The board
members complimented Laurianne’s work. Laurianne was supportive to me as president, as well as the
executive and the board.
On the branch level, she took the minutes of meetings and distributed them to the branch members. She
emailed the branch members the upcoming meetings and speakers’ information. As part of the branch
executive, she helped plan the meetings and run the branch.
She was nice to work with. She was honest in her thoughts, with great suggestions on how to make AGS
better in multiple ways, such as organized, communication, and membership retention. I would love to
work with her again at any time.
