Laura developed a passion for genealogy at an early age, inspired by helping her mother with family history research. Gathered around the table, listening to earlier generations share and preserve family stories instilled in Laura a deep appreciation for the art of tracing lineage and understanding heritage. These early influences laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to genealogical study.

Driven by this dedication, Laura has cultivated expertise in the complexities of genetic genealogy, descendancy research, and living people research. Laura actively pursues ongoing professional development, as demonstrated by completing ProGen 51, Genproof 75, Practicum 03, and GenFed as well as over 40 specialized genealogical institutes from SLIG, IGHR, GRIP, focused on DNA and methodology. Laura is currently a DNA coach / consultant for Diahan Southard.
