Kristina Gow Clever, CG®, helps individuals and families solve complex family history questions using standards-based research, DNA analysis, and on-site archival investigation.

Are you trying to solve a family mystery using DNA?
She helps clients identify biological relatives, confirm or refute genetic relationships, break through multi-generational brick walls using cluster analysis and genetic networks, and integrate DNA evidence with documentary research.

Are you stuck trying to find your Norwegian ancestor's origins?
Effective Norwegian research requires an understanding of patronymics, farm names, parish structure, and migration patterns. Kristina helps clients trace their Norwegian ancestors from American records back to specific farms and parishes in Norway.

If you are seeking to resolve a DNA mystery or trace Norwegian ancestors to their parish of origin, begin with a focused consultation.

Do you need records from southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia, or the Florida panhandle?
Many valuable records in this region are not online. She provides professional, in-person retrieval services to access courthouse, archival, and cemetery records unavailable through major genealogy databases.

If you are ready to move beyond online hints and take a strategic, evidence-based approach to your family history, contact her to discuss your project goals.

Kristina is a Certified Genealogist® and founder of Clever Genealogy in southern Alabama. She completed the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate Program and is a graduate of ProGen 42, GenProof 68, and Certification Practicum 2. She has written for the Minnesota Genealogist and the Quarterly Journal of the Illinois State Genealogical Society.

She is available for consultation, comprehensive family history projects, and regional archival research.

Kristina researches in records throughout the United States as well as Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, Mexico, Norway, and Scotland.

Kristina made organized groupings of my DNA cousins. Therefore, you can find great information. One cousin from a line that I emailed provided date of death and place of death on a great aunt that I had searched for long time. Prior to Kristina's work I would just look at cousins and say "that one is paternal, etc.". Never did I get any help with myself as the manager. Martha C. Moss, CPA

More than 20 years ago I began searching for my brother's biological father with only a fairly common name and estimated age & location. Then DNA and genetic ancestry entered the scene and we thought it would be easy from there. Sometimes it is just that easy but even testing with the 2 biggest companies my brother had over 1,000 matches and I couldn't sort it out alone. My brother didn't believe he would ever know his father. Eileen Harryvan

I had A really great experience working with Kristina. She got me closer to finding my paternal grandparents! Janelle M.

After working with several other companies, I felt defeated and ready to give up. I turned to Google for one last chance at at finding my biological father and somehow landed on Kristina and Clever Genetic Ancestry. Kristina was heaven sent! I felt that she was empathetic and passionate about resolving my case. She went over and above and did not nickel and dime me for every little thing. Most importantly, Kristina was responsive and resourceful. She listened to my theories and followed up to prove or eliminate them. I wouldn't wish anyone the pain of having to locate a loved one, but if the need arises, Clever Genetic Ancestry is the only way to go! Robert Reeves
