I worked as an Investigator for the State of California for 30 years. I retired in 2019. Then COVID hit. I needed something to occupy my time. Genealogy was the answer! It has helped use the "investigative part of my brain" that stopped being used when I retired. I can't get enough of Genealogy and Genetic Genealogy.
