From a centuries-old tribe in Ireland to 1613 Jamestown, Virginia, to discovering an ancestor who served in the Continental Army, our genealogical journeys can lead us to unknown and exciting paths.
Keith Berry is a professional genealogist based in Roanoke, Virginia, specializing in research within the Southeastern and Upper Southern United States. He is the owner of Your Lineage, a genealogy service offering a range of services including family history research, document retrieval, military research, and lineage society applications.
Keith’s genealogical expertise is particularly focused on Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, and West Virginia. He holds a certificate in American Genealogical Studies from the National Genealogical Society and has completed advanced courses at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, including studies on federal records and Virginia history.
His personal genealogical research has led to significant discoveries, such as tracing his ancestry back to 1613 Jamestown, Virginia, and identifying ten ancestors who contributed to the American Revolution. These findings have earned him memberships in the Jamestowne Society and the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Keith currently serves as the Lieutenant Governor of the Jamestowne Society’s Roanoke New River Valley Company.
Not only has Keith's research enabled his clients to join various lineage societies, but he has also helped his clients break through brick walls that once stood in the way of discovering their ancestors.
Through Your Lineage, Keith offers genealogical services to clients, helping them uncover their family histories and connect with their ancestral roots.
