Jeremy Berry-Cahn serves as Collections Manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Mass. State Archives). As such, he manages accessioning, processing, and descriptive work on the Commonwealth’s archival collections (early 1600s–present), while overseeing records management, physical space allocation, and the housing and preservation of state records.

Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from California State University Sacramento, and a Master’s in Archives and Preservation Management (MLIS) from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. He also holds a professional certification from the Academy of Certified Archivists.

Jeremy serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer on the board of the São Jorge Genealogical Society. He founded the organization in 2016 to assist those researching their lineage in the Azores, and has overseen all of the society’s indexing and digitization initiatives since that time. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys writing Freedom of Information Law requests to facilitate access to genealogical records, and helping to preserve 17th and 18th century graveyards in New England.

American -- All over the United States with special emphasis on New England (1600's-Present), and the midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North/South Dakota).

Western Europe -- Norway, Sweden, France, England, Ireland, Baden-Württemberg, Lower-Saxony, Azores Islands
