- Family History Research
"There is no better place to research than in your own backyard."
I am a lifelong Louisiana resident, researcher, and family historian with over 10 years of experience tracing families across the American South, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
My interest in family history began as a child, listening to my Cajun-French grandmother describe the relatives who shaped her life. I spent countless hours studying her photo albums, trying to determine how each person and their story fit into our family. Those early experiences laid the foundation for my professional work, my formal genealogical studies, and the eventual start of Gumbo Roots LLC.
My goal is to help you create a well-documented family history that feels both enduring and deeply meaningful to the people who inherit it.
