Deborah Maddox has over 37 years of research experience, with a focus on ancestors from Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. She dedicated more than a decade to the National Society Sons of the American Revolution as a Staff Genealogist and Lead Genealogist in the Genealogy Department. 

Deborah has developed and delivered numerous genealogical seminars to public, private, and professional audiences, including RootsTech and NGS.  

Deborah is an instructor for the 2026 virtual week-long Navigating Independence: Researching the Lives of Revolutionary War Ancestors course at the GRIP Genealogy Institute.
