Where did we come from? Most families can only half answer that: a name nobody can place, a country of origin nobody wrote down. That gap is recoverable far more often than people expect.

I'm Chris Washler, founder of Sycamore Hill Genealogy in Pensacola, Florida. I work with first-time researchers who want a documented family history instead of a tangle of unsourced online trees, and with applicants preparing lineage society papers (SAR, DAR, Colonial Dames, Mayflower) that must hold up on review. As a past President of the Florida Society, Sons of the American Revolution, I know what a complete application looks like from the reviewing side.

If you have a question you've never been able to answer, let's talk.

Specialties: Revolutionary War lineage, Spanish and British colonial Gulf Coast records, and Midwestern research with deep Midwest roots.
