Cherie’s passion for family history research began more than 35 years ago while searching for her adult adopted son. What started as a personal search evolved into a commitment to help others discover their biological beginnings. In addition to genealogical work, Cherie is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in relationship and reproductive losses. This background informs her research approach, emphasizing sensitivity, ethical integrity, and respect for the complex emotions often involved in family discovery. Cherie earned a Certificate in Family Research Studies (Genealogy) in 2018 and a Certificate in Advanced Skills in Genealogy from the National Genealogical Society in 2024. These credentials reflect her dedication to professional growth and excellence in genealogical research. After decades of solving family mysteries, Cherie created a website to expand her reach—with the goal of helping more people find family and, in the process, perhaps themselves.
