Based near Kingston, Ontario, Canada, undertaking original research, consultation, and problem solving (since 1984) utilizing primary and secondary sources of Canada (principally Ontario & Quebec), the US and UK, with a special interest in the people, places & records of individuals and groups moving to, and through, Upper Canada, Canada West, and Ontario, Canada, 1775 to today. Access to large and small regional repositories in Eastern Ontario, including National and Provincial Archives. Member: APG, including Ontario Chapter; Ontario Genealogical Society (now Ontario Ancestors), including several Eastern Ontario branches and unaffiliated societies; and some UK based family history societies. Developed and maintained EONTGEN-L and several surname specific email lists. Manages MURDUCK One Name Study (Guild of One Name Studies) since 1984. Co-ordinating MURDOCK (and variations) Family Tree & DNA Linkage Project since 2008.
