Arlene Everett


Genealogy research began in 2000, NGS membership (10967079) x 23 years, and the Black Family Genealogy and History, Phoenix, AZ (BFGH) same years.  Membership in the Colorado Genealogy Society.

Research studies in Sanford Unv - South /Carolina, NGS Learning Center,  Continuing Studies:  Guide to Documentation and Source Citation, Effective Use of Deeds, African American Roots.  Completion courses at NGS include Beyond The Basics and Branching Out.

Writings include:  Newspaper Research, Broadsheet and Editorial News, "Rich Colored Slave Folks" in Manning South Carolina and Utah. 

Oral presentations:  Texas Everett, 1835 - 1920; Zoom presentation:  Vernon Everett:  WW2 Veteran and basic genealogy teaching at the Peoria, Az School District.   

Personal Family Studies:  Weston:  Mulatto Slave Owners (1804-1865), Charleston South Carolina, Tailors.  Ross:  North Carolina 1860-1900.  

Studies at Family History Research Center at the Texas Clayton Library; Family History Library at Columbia, SC and North Carolina. Research at County Offices (Texas, NC and SC).
