My expertise is in two areas of French research: 1) all aspects of French genealogy and historical research. I was the author of The French Genealogy Blog for 16 years, for which I wrote over 1000 informative posts explaining in English French genealogy skills and French archives. Many of these posts have been published and remain available for sale. Additionally, I have conducted research in French archives for historians whose work has been published. These works include: "The Caretakers : War GravesGardeners and the Secret Battle to Rescue Allied Airmen in World War II", "Zenon Vantini : From Grand Tour to Package Holiday", "The House The Sugarcane Built : The Louisiana Burguières", "Racing Jules Lion" and others.  2) American mariners in Napoleonic France. I recently published "Napoleon's American Prisoners" and am working on a book about American mariners based n France during the War of 1812. I maintain a database of American mariners in France that I continue to develop and expand. I am accepting clients requiring research in either of these two areas.
