I am a professional genealogist and Hungarian citizenship consultant specializing in Hungarian and Jewish family history, citizenship by descent, and archival research in Hungary and the territories of the former Kingdom of Hungary.
I assist individuals and families seeking to establish their Hungarian ancestry for both genealogical and citizenship purposes. My work includes complex family reconstruction, locating and obtaining Hungarian civil and Jewish vital records, archival research, document retrieval, analysis of historical place names and changing borders, and preparation of genealogical documentation for Hungarian citizenship procedures.
A significant part of my practice is devoted to Hungarian citizenship cases. I assist clients with citizenship verification as well as simplified naturalization, including determining the appropriate citizenship route, reconstructing the relevant Hungarian family line, obtaining Hungarian and foreign records, resolving discrepancies in names, dates and places, and coordinating the documentary requirements of the application process.
I have particular experience with Jewish families originating in historical Hungary, including areas that today form part of Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and other successor states of the former Kingdom of Hungary. My research frequently involves Jewish civil and religious records, Holocaust-era documentation, immigration and naturalization records, name changes, missing or incomplete registers, and families whose records are spread across several countries and archives.
I hold an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde. I also studied law at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) Faculty of Law and have taught Hungarian at the University of Haifa, including preparation for the Hungarian-language component of simplified naturalization.
I work with clients internationally and provide research and citizenship consulting in English, Hungarian and Hebrew.
