Alison Wilde is a forensic investigative genetic genealogist at DNA Labs International. She has been a professional genetic genealogist since 2016. Alison has held various positions in the FIGG field, including three years as the Director of FIGG for the Cold Case Coalition and Intermountain Forensics, where she also oversaw the genetic genealogy work for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre identifications. In March of 2025, Alison became one of the first to earn the title of Accredited Investigative Genetic Genealogist through the Investigative Genetic Genealogy Accreditation Board (IGGAB) exam process. Alison specializes in FIGG methodologies, probabilities for historical cases, and the impact of the various SNP technologies on the genetic genealogy process. Testimonials
Alison's mastery of genealogy and genetic research is truly remarkable, and our chance meeting of her has proven to be a miracle for my family. Without her tireless efforts, we would have never known the true identity of our maternal grandfather nor have had the opportunity to connect with unknown family members that, upon meeting, we loved instantly. We are so grateful for Alison and ardently recommend her to anyone seeking more information about who they are and where they came from. - NR, Colorado 2019
I am 56 years old and have looked for my biological parents since I was a teenager. I had done a DNA test through Ancestry. I contacted a match and it was managed by Alison Wilde, at Tri DNA Genealogy. I am so thankful for the help in finding my biological father. I found out he had no idea I ever existed! There was an instant bond when we met. I also have a cousin that was adopted and she is in her 60s. Within two days Tri DNA Genealogy had located her birth parents. -LM, Texas, 2016
Since 1978 I have been involved in professional genealogy research working with a private research firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In recent years the interest and desire for expertise with DNA research became a new dimension in our research services requiring us to broaden the scope of our activities. We knew very little about DNA. With more requests by individuals seeking to know their true identity and finding and establishing relationships with biological siblings and parents, we were fortunate to employ the services of Alison Wilde who has competently filled that need. When one particular client was presented with the results of her DNA research there was some hesitation on his part to embrace the revelation of a new father and half-siblings and cousins. Alison tenderly and compassionately communicated with the client answering questions and guiding him into his new family. Dialogues and visits were made between the client and his new-found relatives. Additional blood-line genealogies were shared, with stories and pictures. A life became more complete. Without any hesitation I fully recommend and endorse Alison for her professionalism and expertise in any DNA matters. - KS, Salt Lake City, Utah 2021
