APG Presents 2015 Golden Chapter Award to Greater Philadelphia Chapter

ST. CHARLES, MO and WHEAT RIDGE, Colo., 13 May 2015 Today at the 2015 National Genealogical Society ( NGS) Family History Conference, the Association of Professional Genealogists (APGŪ) announced that it has named the Greater Philadelphia APG Chapter the winner of the 2015 Golden Chapter Award.

"We congratulate the Greater Philadelphia APG Chapter and thank its members for their exceptional efforts in revitalization of the chapter," said APG President Kimberly Powell, who presented the award at the APG luncheon at NGS today. "This chapter has done an excellent job of promoting the group and its members in the genealogical community."

The following chapters received honorable mention for noteworthy activities and achievements:
-- Kentucky Chapter, for outstanding efforts in outreach, promotion, development, and administration of a young chapter; and
-- Great Plains Chapter, for excellence in programs, collaboration among members, and administration of a small chapter.
