Welcome Jon Grubbs, APG’s New Booth Coordinator

APG is pleased to welcome Jon Grubbs of Florida, USA, to the team as the association’s new Booth Coordinator. For more than 35 years, Jon has been researching family history. He is the founder of both the Sanford, Florida Genealogy Club and Online Genealogist (onlinegenealogist.com).

Professionally, Jon’s career in enterprise IT leadership paired with advanced genealogical methodology brings a rigorous, technology-driven approach to genealogical problem-solving, digital record management, and data analysis. Over the decades, he has paired traditional archival research with online resources and genetic genealogy to help individuals and families trace their roots and break through complex genealogical brick walls.

As an active educator and community leader, Jon has experience exhibiting and speaking at regional conferences, community events, and family history fairs across Central Florida. He is a former regular columnist for the Sanford Historical Society’s The Sanford Journal and serves as a co-administrator for online surname DNA projects.

The APG Booth Coordinator is an independent contractor who attends both in-person and virtual conferences on behalf of the association, serving as the public face of APG during industry events. At conferences, APG looks to connect with members, meet prospective members, and talk about the benefits of hiring professional genealogists.
