Biography:
Each of us has thousands of stories embedded within our DNA. These are the stories of our ancestors. Learning these stories can provide such tremendous insight into our own lives, and I am passionate about helping people discover them. I have particular skill in navigating Pennsylvanian, Mid-Atlantic, and Eastern SC & NC records. I have reconstructed many families torn asunder by slavery through careful analysis of records held in a wide range of repositories. DNA is an incomparable tool for solving tough genealogical mysteries and I am enthusiastic user, avidly following the latest applications and technological developments and incorporating them into my work. I am additionally experienced in navigating Italian records through the 18th century, with particular familiarity in the regions of Basilicata and Campania. As a 10th generation south-central Pennsylvanian, I've cultivated a deep appreciation for and familiarity with the architectural vernacular in my home region and the people who created our built environment. I love to help people discover the hidden stories contained within their older homes and farm properties, and further to identify appropriate means for preservation or restoration of their historic properties.
