Biography:
Anne Merrell is a researcher and educator with a passion for teaching kids and teens about their ancestors. Anne holds a degree in Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University. She teaches at conferences and workshops where she helps beginners lay a strong foundation to begin their research and family historians discover how to decrease clutter and take control of their family archives through digitization and preservation. Anne was a three-time director of BYU s Family History for Youth Camp where she led 130+ teens in learning how to connect with the past through researching their families. She is the creator and producer of the Family History for Youth Podcast, a home of ideas for teaching and creating family history with the rising generation. In addition to private research and youth focused activities, Anne worked as a Staff Genealogist at the Daughters of the American Revolution where she honed her skill in Colonial American research. Anne is available for client research, family archiving consultations, and genealogy podcast creation help.
