Cheryl Montague-Nolting is a practicing genealogist living in the Central Texas area who provides genealogical family research and consultation, along with archive research, document retrieval, document transcription, cemetery look-ups and photos, oral history/interviews, and lineage society applications. Cheryl is also Vice President for Kevin Nolting Consulting, LLC specializing in nonprofit consulting and project management. She has over 30 years experience in nonprofit management, grantmaking and fundraising. For over seven years, Cheryl served as the Executive Director for the Roy F. & Joann Cole Mitte Foundation in Austin, Texas, managing a scholarship and grant endowment fund in excess of $40 million. She was also an Executive Director for the Eanes Education Foundation, and for Believe In Me, Inc in Austin. She worked for two years with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services as a Grant Coordinator for the Special Projects Unit managing multiple federal and state-wide grant initiatives including the Lifespan Respite Care Program and the evidence-based disease prevention and health promotion program, Texas Healthy Lifestyles Project. As a professional fundraiser, Cheryl was the Director of Development and Communications for The Austin Project in Austin, Director of Development and Marketing for Family Services, Inc. in Fort Worth, the Director of Development for the University of North Texas College of Arts and Sciences in Denton, Director of Development for Casa Manana Theatre in Fort Worth, Director of Marketing and Development for the Sherman Community Players in Sherman, and Public and Donor Relations Representative for the Dallas Theatre Center in Dallas. Cheryl is currently the 2nd Vice Regent for the Balcones Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and has been a member of the University of North Texas Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Texas Woman s University Alumni Association Board of Director, the Lewisville Community Theatre Board of Directors, and the Denton Community Theatre Advisory Board. She has maintained her membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Delta Zeta Society, and is also a member of the Jamestowne Society and the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.
