Biography:
I first became interested in genealogy in the late 1980s. I became more active, both in doing personal and professional genealogy and in genealogical society participation after my retirement from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1997. I was a volunteer staff member of the Wisconsin Historical Society library archives from 1997 through 2015.
I don't feel I should put this in my specialties list, because I do not consider myself an expert in the records of these countries, but I am quite interested in Swedish and English research.
Society positions held:
Wisconsin State Genealogical Society: first vice-president, 1998-2004; editor, Wisconsin State Genealogical Society Newsletter, 2004-2007; vice-president, 2005-2007
British Interest Group of Wisconsin & Illinois: director, 2001-2004; webmaster, 1999-present
Dane County Area Genealogical Society (and predecessor society): webmaster, 2001-present; president, 2009-present
International Society for British Genealogy and Family History: trustee, 2008-present
