Irene V. Rossman

Summary Tab
Extended Tab

Irene's love for family history developed at a young age. Her pursuit of the answer to the universal question, "Who am I?" led to a desire to help others in their search as well. Turning her hobby into a profession, Irene completed Boston University s Certificate in Genealogical Research in 2018. She recently became a member of ProGen Study Group 38, co-leading the monthly virtual discussions, and is co-leader for a National Genealogical Society Quarterly study group. Irene s passion within genealogy is finding birth families, and she volunteers for the non-profit 325Kamra, Inc., which assists Korean Adoptees in getting DNA testing and finding their birth families. She is also Co-Chair of UGA DNA, a special interest group for the Utah Genealogical Association and a member of the Virtual Genealogical Association, National Genealogical Society, and the California Genealogical Society. Although genetic genealogy is her focus, other research interests include the following areas: Ashkenazi Jewish, German/Prussian ancestry, County Kerry, Ireland, Scotland, San Francisco, Yuba County, California, Boston and Central Massachusetts, England, and Portugal. Irene's love of all things genealogy takes up most of her time, however she also enjoys taking road trips with her husband, three children, and rescue dog.
