My Portuguese Gen

Biography:
I am a Professional Genealogist, bilingual in Portuguese/English, an immigrant to the United States, and a proud American Citizen. Besides my deep knowledge of the Portuguese language, I have a skill set for Paleography that runs in my genetics. My love for paleography developed through time becoming very handful when transcribing and translating Portuguese manuscripts to support and document the research I do. I am very detailed oriented and work in-house, personally, not affiliated with any business, which is more cost-effective and trustworthy. I have been working on my own genealogy for more than 25 years. My focus is the Azores archipelago, Madeira island, Portugal, and Brazil. I have worked in the past with the preservation and conservation of books and family heirlooms. I have more than 20K hours of experience in the preservation field, which combines my work for an academic library at UNC Greensboro and for Etherington Conservation Services. I am seeking my certification through the NIGS.

Service Description:
