Donna has over 20 years of experience with genealogy research, nonfiction writing, and editing. Also an avid traveler, she has combined her love of travel with genealogy, offering personalized research trip planning for US Cities based on your travel style and research goals. In her twenty years in the US Navy, Donna was an accomplished lecturer and instructor while performing her regular duties as an intelligence analyst. Her skills and abilities have served her well as a genealogist and enable her to continue pursuing her passion of helping others attain their genealogy goals with focused research plans, organized problem solving, and thorough evidence analysis. Currently specializing in the US Lifesaving Service history, Donna is studying the original records of NARA Record Group 26 with a special interest in 1850-1920 Outer Banks and North Carolina maritime history. Whether you need help chipping away at a brick wall, compiling a four-generation family history to pass on to your children, or want to plan a trip to visit great grandpa's home town, Donna is happy to partner with you to get the job done. She is available for hire for research trip planning, and record lookups. In addition to research services, Donna is also available for lectures and workshops. She has a few topics at the ready, but is also open to reasonable requests for presentations on basic methodology, repository visits, etc. A recent graduate of Boston University Certificate in Genealogical Research program, Donna has also attended GRIP and IGHR and can be found at regional workshops and national conferences. Always striving for the next level of professionalism, she hopes to be a certified genealogist within the next three years and is continually seeking opportunities to challenge her practice and expand her experience.
