Sandra Blanchette, PLCGS is a Professional Genealogist specialised in researching ancestors in the Gaspe Basin and the Gaspe Peninsula. Her business, launched in 2018, provides genealogical research services, research analysis, workshops, lectures, translation, transcriptions, abstractions and coaching, in both English and French. She is the Author of Gaspe Basin Roots How To Series a comprehensive research guide for the Gaspe Peninsula. The first volume will release in late 2018, in both English to begin and later in French. Through years of intense research and learning about the history and heritage of her region, she acquired the knowledge of the Records and repositories for the Gaspe Peninsula, within the region and around the world and continues searching for the hidden records and unknown repositories. Born and raised in the Gaspe Basin area of an Anglophone family, she was schooled in French throughout her youth, which now gives her the privilege of working in both English and French. Surrounded by people and relatives since her youth who strongly believed in knowing their Ancestors and their Heritage, she was encouraged and guided from a very young age to learn and promote the heritage and the history of her family and region. She began intensively researching her ancestors and relatives in 2010, dedicating at last 35 hours weekly to the task. From researching her family, she is now involved and lead of a One-Place-Study for the Gaspe Basin and its surroundings. She completed in 2017, a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies - Canadian Records, a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies - American Records, and a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies - Methodology from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. She will shortly be completing a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies Professional Development. Her involvement with her community enables her to keep her ear to the ground and discover many hidden treasures concerning the Gaspe Peninsula.

Sandra Blanchette, Genealogical Services is a small Company based in the Gaspe Peninsula and was founded by Sandra Blanchette, PLCGS. Our Mission Sandra Blanchette, Genealogical Services specializes in Gaspe Basin and Gaspe Peninsula Genealogy. Our mission is to provide Genealogical Services and Products, in English and in French, to youth and adults across the world, to aid them in retracing ancestors and relatives in the Gaspe Basin and the Gaspe Peninsula. By this, we contribute to informing the public on genealogical advancements on the profession of Genealogists, as well as its Standards. Our Vision Sandra Blanchette, Genealogical Services assists people in discovering their Heritage one Ancestor at the time. We believe that everyone should learn about their past, to understand the present and plan for the future. We promote the heritage and history of the Gaspe Basin and the Gaspe Peninsula and the people who built our region and contributed to our country. Our Values Sandra Blanchette, Genealogical Services provides in-depth research, analysis, and educational opportunities, in French and in English, to aid clients across the world in finding their ancestors and relatives in the Gaspe Basin and the Gaspe Peninsula. We promote through our services and products the Genealogist profession and genealogy.
