Biography:
I have been working as a professional genealogist since 2000. My earlier background is in librarianship; as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, I was employed at the Mitchell Library, Glasgow, for 30 years, where I was introduced to family history research while working in the local history department. As a result, I know where to look to find sources of information necessary to build up a family history for people with Scottish ancestors. I also worked as a curator on the local history project TheGlasgowStory, which has given me a special insight into the history of Scotland s largest city. I am a registered participant in VisitScotland s Ancestral Welcome Scheme.
