Biography:
Meryl Schumacker is a Board-certified professional genealogist in Manhattan. Meryl's work focuses on New York City families from the 17th century to the 20th century, as well as Jewish and African-American ancestry. Meryl frequently incorporates DNA evidence into her work, having completed Advanced Genetic Genealogy training with CeCe Moore. Meryl's work has been published in The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record. In 2017, she was awarded the Walter Lee Sheppard Jr. Prize and the Association of Professional Genealogists' Young Professional Scholarship.
