Karen Batchelor, owner of Story Mountain LLC, is an attorney and full-time genealogist with over 40 years of research experience in colonial New England and the Revolutionary War era; preparation of lineage applications and proofs; and review and analysis of historic legal documents, including court and land records. In 1977, she became the 1st known African American admitted for membership in Daughters of the American Revolution and currently serves as National Vice Chair of Lineage Research. Karen is also a member of Women Descendants of Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company, Associated Daughters of Early American Witches, The Winthrop Society and the Michigan State Bar. With her research experience and legal background, Karen brings highly specialized and unique skills to your genealogy and family history projects.
