I am a professional information / instructional designer and genealogy educator / lecturer. I am a native of Illinois who followed my career to Georgia in 1987 to work for an international airline telecommunication company. Karen is an experienced genealogy researcher with over 35 years of experience specializing in research methodology and techniques, census records, genealogy education, migration and mapping, photography, problem-solving, researching using geography and maps, and web design. I have presented lectures at local genealogical societies, regional conferences, and webinars. I am an avid amateur photographer and use my photography skills to enhance my genealogy research, presentations, and toolkit. I have authored several articles for the Cobb County Georgia Genealogical Society, Inc. 'Family Tree Quarterly'. I have attended several FGS and NGS conferences to further my genealogy knowledge and research skills. I am active in the genealogical community currently serving as Webmaster for the Cobb County Georgia Genealogical Society, Inc. and President of the Georgia Genealogical Society. I have previously served the Cobb County Georgia Genealogical Society, Inc. and as a Board Member, President, Membership Director, Newsletter Editor, and 'Family Tree Quarterly' editor. I have also served the Georgia Genealogical Society as Program Director and Publications Director. I am currently available to present at lectures / seminars and design / maintain genealogy society Websites.
